‘My dog saved a little kid’: Hero dog alerts pawrent to solo child walking through neighborhood, the found boy had been evading police efforts to find him and return him to his family

Many of us have grown up with the classic stories of dogs raising the alert to tell their hoomans that a poor child has fallen into some sort of gorge, well or other kind of scary place. And while these images have been drilled into us through the movies and tv shows we watched in our formative years, we have rarely seen or heard about actual cases of this happening. Which is why we are delighted to present you with this lovely Lassie style story of a doggo who saved the life of a 3 year old boy.

Of course this story came to us from the most pawsitive to subreddit's r/MadeMeSmile, and it begins during an afternoon that seemed to be just like any other. Our pupper's pawrent was enjoying some light gaming while their pupper hung out in the house. But in a moment everything turned on its head as this doggo who was not known for barking for no reason lost its mind and began barking up a storm. Knowing that their pup would never needlessly yell and shout this pawrent went over to the window to see what all the commotion was about and they could not believe what they saw.

A young boy around the age of three walking into their neighbor's yard. From there the pawlice got involved and brought the brief albeit terrifying search and rescue mission to an end. Providing plenty of pets and cuddles for the canine who had done more than anyone could have expected to bring this boy back to his family.

  • Wow, the emotional intelligence of doggos is something that never ceases to amaze. It’s like how dogs know when someone is pregnant or sick and act accordingly. Somehow this dog sensed or smelt that this child was not where he was meant to be and knew that someone needed to step in and help. And seeing as this pupper is not able to communicate with emergency services, the next best thing was to sound the alarm to his pawrent. What have we as hoomans done to deserve the pawtection of such a sweet angel?
